Identity, Use & Access
When you sign up for TruScribe Software Services, we ask for your name and email address. That’s just so you can personalize your new account, and we can send you updates, or other essential information. This information is encrypted and no one has access to it except specific authorized personnel. We will notify you of any unauthorized use of your information as soon as is reasonably feasible after we learn of any such unauthorized use.
We’ll never sell your personal info to third parties, and we will not make any personal data available to other parties without a written confirmation from you. We will not copy unscrambled or not anonymized real data from the production environment to any less secured pre-production environment for testing purposes like regression tests. We will only use anonymized data, if we use it to analyze market trends for example, after you have been given the opportunity to check, if the anonymization is sufficient to protect your business interests, and given approval, such approval not to be unreasonably withheld.
If you create a glyph using our TruGlyph app or TruGlyphApp.com, we may use that glyph without compensation or providing any authorship to you. We may use the glyph in any way that we see fit, including selling the use of the glyph to others. Some subscribers may be given privacy rights to a glyph at our sole discretion and the fact that some subscribers have been given such a right does not in any manner grant those rights to anyone else.
When you write to us with a question or to ask for help, we’ll keep that correspondence, and the email address, for future reference. We also store any information you volunteer, like surveys or suggestions, for as long as it makes sense.
The only times we’ll ever share your personal info:
To provide products or services you request.
To investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of TruScribe Terms of Service agreements, or as otherwise required by law.
TruScribe won’t hand your data over to law enforcement unless a court order says we have to or we are otherwise so required by applicable law.
Your data storage is hosted by Amazon Web Services or a similar type of service unless you are storing it yourself and they or you are responsible for any data losses according to their terms of service. If your data is lost, we are not liable for any damages of any type but we will work with you and Amazon Web Services or the service provider being utilized to get the data back. We do not access your video data other than to provide technical support.
Data Status after Termination of Services
If you terminate the service, your data will remain on Amazon Web Services or the hosting services we are utilizing at the time indefinitely unless you specifically tell us to have the data deleted. We will keep your name and email address in our secured files unless you notify us in writing that you want it deleted. If we have already used anonymous data of yours previously, we may continue to use that information even after you terminate.
We do put cookies on your computer to allow you to more easily access the application and your data. Eliminating the cookies will not impact the application or your data.
